Discovery Biology
The aim of this area is to stablish biology assays to identify and validate targets and characterize biological activities of candidate drugs.
This area is formed by the cell and molecular biology lab and the in vivo research area that develops model of different diseases.
Discovery Chemistry
The general goal of this area is to achieve a rational design and development of new and effective chemical entities supported by biological assays
A wide range of synthetic chemistry and data analysis techniques are used to facilitate the design of pharmaceutically active molecules to treat a particular disease. This area is also involved in the development of new and improved manufacturing processes to effectively produce drugs on a large scale in an economical and environmentally friendly way up to a Kilo Lab scale.
